obviously a lot of the fun of the movie is all the song adaptations, musical type stuff.

"all you need is love, love" is sticking in my head which is probably obvious when people hear me wailing it as i'm biking home.

like the dynamics betw the writer and the courtesan.
a bit garish - colors and caricatures.
not historically accurate? there's another moulin rouge movie which seems darker and more depressing.

don't know about my capacity of romantic love. have a sappy concept of it, but when i come close, nearby, within the vicinity it makes me freak out. probably due to unfamiliarity, vulnerability, practical lean to my character, yet feeling completely unhinged at times. dunno.
but studies are suffering, so must attend to them.

finished seeing it 7/9/04, after starting it when i was in montana. saw it until the happy 'ending' - when he finds her after she knows he's not the duke.
rented from the dvd place in ronan, and then the library.
