too many pans of the random signs in japanese -- i'm assuming to convey how confusing it all is. the multiple stimuli, but nothing makes sense.
sweet = their parting. he sees her walking down the sidewalk. asks the cabbie to stop. they have a really good hug (her heels off ground). he whispers something in her ear that we can't hear. her eyes well up with tears. a better quick smooch. he walks away more securely. and she seems all right with things as well.
